To ensure that the race courses at the Virtus World Championships, which are being held in Austria for the first time, also meet the requirements of the FIS, the official on-site course inspection took place at the beginning of October.
The homologation of the Alpine tracks at Rosshütte Seefeld was carried out by the Technical Delegate Ricardo De Infanti. Afterwards, it was clarified together with the timekeeping which materials – from cables, sound system to setups in the start and finish area – were needed.
At the Gschwandtkopf the same inspection was made for the team competition taking place there.
The walk-through was concluded with the inspection of the trails in and around the World Cup arena and an online meeting with Nordic Delegate Hideki Arai.
Conclusion: the alpine as well as nordic tracks are highly official world championship ready!
