Privacy Policy

General

The protection of your data is important to us. We comply with applicable data protection law when using and processing personal data (“pbD”). With this declaration, we inform you about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data we process and about the rights to which you are entitled as a data subject.

Certain terms used in this communication have the following meanings:

GDPR is a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the European Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, applicable from 25.05.2018.

Personal data (“pbD”) refers to information that can be attributed to an identified or directly or indirectly identifiable natural person. pbD includes, but is not limited to, name, address (including billing and shipping address), telephone number, email address, account information, date of birth, data issued by public authorities (e.g. driver’s license number, ID card number, passport number)

The data subject is the natural person whose personal data are processed.

Data processing is any handling of pbD, starting with its collection, through its arrangement, modification, evaluation, retrieval, transmission and storage, up to its deletion.

Personal data

The collected data is processed automatically in accordance with the DSGVO. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO Implementation of pre-contractual measures, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO Fulfilment of legal obligations (e.g. Federal Sports Promotion Act, Provincial Sports Promotion Acts), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO Consent to the processing of personal data and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO Legitimate interests of the responsible party – namely public relations and presentation of the activities of the responsible party in order to increase its level of awareness. The data will be transmitted to branch or member clubs, higher-level clubs as well as to national and international associations of the club, or to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the sports event according to the announcement. All data of the participants will be stored until the complete organisational final processing plus possible legal retention periods. There is no intention to process the collected data for the purpose of automated decision-making, including profiling (data analysis on behaviour, habits, preferences…) (Art. 13 para. 2 lit. f DSGVO).

Sports results management

Based on the consent of the data subject pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO or the fulfilment of a contractual or legal obligation of the data controller pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b, c and f DSGVO, the personal data of the data subject are processed insofar as they are required for performance and results recording or results management in connection with registration or participation in (sporting) events or competitions.

The personal data will be stored and made publicly accessible for archiving purposes in the public interest and legitimate interests of the data controller in accordance with Art. 17 (3) DSGVO in conjunction with Art. 89 DSGVO. This is expressly acknowledged by the data subject.

Use of image and film recordings

By registering, participants agree to the possible production, publication, dissemination, duplication, use and exploitation of photographs or other image, film and sound documents taken of them at the event by the provider (association, club), including the naming of their names, provided that this does not affect any legitimate interests in their own image. This is not the case if the participants are photographed or filmed within the framework of the above-mentioned event or if the name is mentioned under the respective photograph or on the list of participants. To this extent, the participants transfer the (exploitation) rights free of charge to the provider (association, club) or to the person producing these materials. This consent also applies in particular to the exploitation and use of these materials for (also commercial) advertising purposes of the provider as well as its member and branch associations, umbrella associations, sponsors and promoters, of whatever kind and in whatever (image and sound) formats. This also applies, for example, to the association’s own homepage, reports and advertisements in radio and print media, other printed matter (such as folders, invitations, etc.) and for reporting in social media. The photographs are processed automatically.

Data subject rights

The data subject has the right to information, correction, deletion and restriction of the processing of personal data (Art. 13 Art. 2 lit. c, b DSGVO) and may revoke his or her consent to data processing in writing at any time.
